Triumph Stag Engine RECONDITIONING

Every Stag has a story to tell. And when you're buying one if you don’t know what you’re looking for you could be walking into a minefield.

A lot of people are excited about getting a car like a Stag for the first time in their life. It’s all too easy to get carried away with the thought of finally owning one, driving off with the roof down, and listening to the rumble of that V8.

Sometimes that feeling can be short-lived if you’re not careful about what you are buying with your “hard-earned”. It's hard to tell what condition a Stag is really in just by looking at it. Sadly, at StagBay we know too many people that purchased a Stag and have had to spend thousands on it just to get it up to a reasonable standard for driving.

After 5 years of working on my project Triumph Stag on weekends when time allowed I realised it was going to be another few years before I would complete it. I contacted Roy at Stagbay and ended up getting the car shipped to him to complete. The transformation in such a short space of time is incredible. 

I have used specialists on my cars over the years and like many, have suffered extended delivery timescales / delays, unexpected costs, exceeded budgets and actual damage to my vehicles, meaning that I am reluctant to allow anyone else to work on my cars, so asking you to complete the car wasn’t easy. However, I needn’t have worried.

The communication throughout was exceptional, the work completed in budget and earlier than expected and your ability to solve running issues that I had not been able to fix was both very welcome and such a relief.

I didn’t expect to be driving it home as you know, but the fact I did make yesterday one that I shall never forget. Thank you Roy.
